Budget Committee:  The budget committee met Wednesday evening, October 20th at Ed Abrahamzon’s home at 6:30 PM.  The budget for 2011 was presented and reviewed.  A motion was made by Wayne Johnstad and seconded by Doug Vana to accept the 2011 budget as proposed.  Motion carried.

Lights on Field 2:  Kirk Krause reported that he spoke with Jim Klinge who quoted a price on the lights and poles.  Kirk suggested that before we agree to make the purchase someone should go out to Jim's and check out the lights.  Should we decide to purchase these lights installation would not take place until the spring.

Trap Help:  Jerry Bolin informed the board that a James Snyder is interested in being a puller.  Kirk will also check back with Ron Krause who was looking into some pullers that we may get through the Boy Scouting Association.  This will be discussed further at the next board meeting.

New Sign for Club:  Doug Vana reported that the new sign for the Trap Club is done.  It states “No Trespassing” and also mentions that there is no shooting of handguns or rifles on the property and provides the hours and days the club is open for shooting.

Maintenance of Buildings:  A good size group of members met at the club house grounds and took care of some maintenance of the building and grounds.  All windows and doors were repaired and weatherized.

Gun Reps:  Doug Vana reported that he and Bill Nicoski will look into the Gun Rep Promotion and will report back at a later date.

New Business

Junior Shooting Youth Fund:  Rick Washkuhn asked that $394.00 which reflects the junior shells that were sold during the summer season be reclassed to the Junior Shooting Bank Fund.  Cindy will make the necessary adjustment on the books.

Hunter Safety:  With Doug Vana’s retirement from the Hunter Safety Program, it was reported that Jim Gotham has expressed interest in taking over the instruction of the Hunter Safety Program resuming the same schedule we have had in the past.  Rick Washkuhn mentioned that if both days were not used, he would use some of those days for the instructional program for the Junior Shooters.

Summer/Winter League Schedules:    Cindy Gronski shared the Winter and Summer League Schedules for 2011.  Within the next week, there will be a mailing to all the other area Trap Clubs sharing our league schedules and the Myrt Wester Shoot.  Captains or at least one member of each team will receive a schedule as well.

Douglas County Fish & Game:  Doug Vana has secured the booth for this year’s Fish & Game weekend.  Following a brief discussion of the gun raffle a motion was made by Wayne Johnstad and seconded by Doug Vana to have the gun raffled off on the last day of the show rather than the next board meeting.  Motion carried.  Kirk Krause said he will take care of ordering the raffle tickets.

Summer BBQ & Wild Game Feed:  This year’s summer BBQ will be scheduled during a regular shooting night like the Wild Game Feed.  The Summer BBQ will be held on June 15th and the Wild Game Feed will take place on July 13th.  This information will be included on the shooting schedules when printed for the season.
