Superior Trap & Gun Club Meeting

Present: Pat Martineau, Jocko Fairchild, Doug Vana, Cindy Gronski, Jerry Bolin, Ed Abrahamzon, and Wayne Johnstad; Others in Attendance: Rick Washkuhn, Larry Brooke, Dean Verlennich, Reg Southerton

Call to Order

Jocko Fairchild, President, called the meeting to order at 6:45 PM.

Approval of November 10, 2009 Minutes

A motion was made by Ed Abrahamzon and seconded by Wayne Johnstad to approve the minutes of the November 10, 2009 meeting. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report

The Treasurer's report was presented &: filed as follows:

Checking & Savings: $13,169.43  -- Junior Shooters: $1,471.86  --  

Total Cash on Hand: $14,641.29

Old Business

Maintenance of the Grounds:  Garage and shooting grounds have still not been picked up.  Will plan to arrange a clean up sometime before the first shoot.

 

Furnace Maintenance:  Doug Vana reported that Carl Vana has been busy and hasn’t been able to get out and check the furnace and get it cleaned and maintained if necessary.  Doug noted that Carl should be able to look into it by the first week of shooting.

 

New Business

 

Winter Preparation:  Doug Vana reported that the grounds need to be cleaned up around the garage and trap club house area so that when he or Carl plows there is room to push the snow across.  Several of the board members noted that they would be able to help Thursday around 2:30 PM to get the area cleaned up.

 

Lawn Mower:  Larry Brooke reported that he worked on the lawn mower, changed oil; fixed the tires; and sharpened the blades.  Larry reported that the mower is running just fine and will be good to use in the summer.

 

Clean Up of Trap Club House & Grounds:  A work group is scheduled for Saturday, January 2nd, 2010 to clean up the outside area as well as the inside of the club house.  Those planning to help will meet at the Manitou Inn for breakfast at 8:00 AM and following breakfast will return to the clubhouse and get the area prepared for the Winter League Shoot which will begin Sunday, January 3rd, 2010.  The area will need salt to get rid of the build up of ice and all trap houses need to be cleaned, and loaded with targets.

A motion was made by Doug Vana and seconded by Ed Abrahamzon to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM.
